Ally's Big Sister, Rachel

Our oldest daughter, Rachel celebrated her 17th birthday the day before we left for Bulgaria to bring Ally home.

Rachel has been so supportive of our adoption. From the very beginning, she hoped and prayed that our family would be able to adopt. When we began the process, she watched her little brothers and sisters so that Jeff and I could run several adoption errands.

She fell instantly in love with Ally the moment she first saw her picture. She loved and prayed for her all last year, she held down the fort and cared for her two youngest siblings while we made our first trip, and then she helped Dad keep everything going the week of our final trip.

When Rachel came to the airport to meet her new little sister, she cried tears of joy and relief with me that our baby Alayna was finally home. A whole year of prayers and work and she was finally home.

Rachel is an absolute blessing. She's not only my daughter, but my friend and my sister in Christ. I'm so proud of her and so thankful for everything she did to help get her sister home.

Ally already loves having a sister who loves her so much.

  2. Beautiful, Sabrina. My Abigail is 16 and she also was so supportive of our adoption and so happy with our new girls. Your daughter sounds like such a sweet girl.
