Gifts to Graduates Project

Our friends, The Bible Orphan Ministry, have begun their annual project to buy gifts for graduating orphans.

They would like to bless the graduates with some kitchen utensils and Bibles. They already have the money for the Bibles and have 25% of what they have left to raise.

Our son, Andrew, will be in Ukraine, Lord willing, to help deliver the gifts! He's planning to leave in a little over 2 weeks.

Please go read more about the project HERE and pitch in whatever you can to help. They only have a short time to raise enough, so every little bit helps.

Thank you!!

  1. Bible Orphan Ministry works wonders on a shoestring! They are just about my favorite charity/non-profit, and truly represent the hands and feet of Christ in the World. I cannot say enough good things about them, and try to tell anyone and everyone about them as I go through my days: salesclerks at K-Mart and Family Dollar Stores, where I just loaded up on drastically reduced past-season clothing, people at the post office where I mailed the boxes to BOM, pastors at my church, friends looking for good causes to support, anyone with a heart for children. I hope your blog's readers will check out BOM's Facebook and blog, and read through them, not just the current entries, to get an idea of what Bible Orphan Ministry does for the orphaned children and institutionalized and "orphanage graduate" teens and young adults in their area. They are miracle workers.

A side note: BOM is located in Zhitomir/Zhytomyr, Ukraine, west of Kiev/Kyiv, an area which is presently stable. Boxes mailed from the eastern United States arrive in an incredible six days (but postage is costly). It's cheaper to ship boxes, but it takes much longer for them to arrive, perhaps a concern at present.

Thanks for advocating for this wonderful organization!
